MS2 V3 Extra
Finally finished my Megasquirt build. I have to say it was much more straight forward than I was anticipating and obviously much cheaper than buying a
built one.
I have built the MS2 v3 with Extra code and it is configured as a direct coil output for waisted spark, which means it will run the Duratec without an
EDIS module.

It was £360 dollars which at the time was £240.00
Then import duty/Taxes was £59.00
So all up £299.00
But I will probably sell the stimulator for say £30? on ebay so £269.00

Let us know how it works. Damn sight cheaper than my AEM. 1/10 actually. Yes, you read correctly.

thanks for that, I'll look into it. I have to go to the USA on business so may be able to bring one back to save on shipping charges. Certainly
seems cost effective.

It has been working on my bench quite well, it went for over an hours drive yesterday, while connected to the Stimulator and my laptop looked very
stable.
The Tuner Studio software looks to be quite good to and if you upgrade the lite software to the full version there is a self learning mode which fine
tunes the engine while you drive around - apparently with quite good results.

Don't worry think you will enjoy it. I got myself a new temperature controlled soldering iron with a needle point tip and a anti static earthing
connection point. I then bought an anti static mat and wrist band off ebay dirt cheap and observed anti static precautions I never touched a component
until the mat and me was earthed.
Once the board is soldered clean using Iso-propyl Alcohol and a tooth brush and rinse under hot water (think that's what's it called) you
will see it mentioned in the mega manual.
Once clean spray over using Conformal coating for PCB'S to seal it from dust and moisture.
If you go for Direct coil, waisted spark you will need to install MS2 Extra software rather than the standard Bowling and Grippo software.
