SVA/IVA CERTs
Hi Guys,
Do the DVLA keep you SVA certs when registering your car to get your V5 issued?
if they don't keep it, is it a problem when buying a second hand kit car that the SVA cert is not present?
All the best
Alex
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!

Pretty sure its taken by the DVLA, so if the cars registered it shouldnt have one anyway.

The DVLA keep the IVA(SVA) certificate. I scanned mine and framed is it for posterity, it hangs framed in the office.
No problem buying/selling second hand as it is registered with a V5C.

Yes they take it; I made a copy for my records.
I guess it stops you cloning via paper work; but you would hope the DVLA check that the chassis number is unique!

They kept it with me, and i didnt get round to taking an copy unfortunately. Therefore dont worry about buying a IVA/SVA'd car with IVA/SVA
Cert.

Yes the DVLA keep your MAC certificate / IVA report to process your car. Its like any other car for buying / selling in that you jest need a V5C.
