Wheel choice MK Indy
Happy new year.
I would like to change the wheels on my indy, ideally to a deep dish mini light or similar wheel,
I started to look at the position of the rear hub. They seem very close to the edge of the wheel
arch, and I was worried the wrong choice would rub the arch or stick out, I would like to know what
the options are on the alloys and what offset are generally accepted.
The car currently sits on 15inch alloys with 195/50/15 tyres

The "standard" Mk indy wheel is a 15x7J ET35 or ET37.

if you are interested ill have a set 7xch16 ïnch and 7x17 inch new for a bargain price.

One option would be to get Indy RR arches which are wider, I'd give Danny a ring.

I've got 13" Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2s on mine. 15" wheels aren't right for an Indy.

Interesting what's the effect of running the 15inch wheels ? Would they make the car skippy over the bumps?
And what is the tyre size on the 13 inch rims?

Not sure if these would be any good to you? 15x7 oz ultraleggra, (one of the lighteset wheels available) No tyres so could use your current ones.
ET42 so should be perfect fitment on the rear. best bet is to look at your current et and adjust for any difference in width of wheel.

Hi ive just bought a built mk indy that seem to have a handling problem, i think the problem is that the car has to large tyre width and for this
reason at the slightest provocation will swap ends ! it currently has 205/40 17's on it so i think not enough weight is being transfered to the
road surface, what is the best wheel size and trye size and trye make to get the best from the car at the moment. cheers Floaty a new member
