You can use a pair of old Mole-grips (or water-pump pliers as it's aluminium tube) and a small ball bearing to make an 'Oyster tool'. If the bead is just to stop a hose from sliding off, you can drill three/four holes and use pop rivets. Then clamp the hose over the top behind the rivet heads.

Or you can use something like Techno-weld and braze a ring onto the end of the pipe.

Someone made up a home made kit using an exhaust mount. I tried it and failed miserably so bought some premade joiners from ebay for a about £1 each. From ASH silicone hoses IIRC.

I've been searching that, they seem quite obscure now, b&q don't stock them anymore, and only seem to be available from the manufacturer (conex)

You may be able to get a pair of Oyster pliers from here.
This is the bead it forms.

I'll happily bead it for you if you can cover the postage and get it to me (Kent), though it'll probably be the same sort of money to bead locally by the time you add up post and packaging two ways.

If all else fails we sell pipe in custom lengths with beads ready made, possibly not the cheapest, but the simplest method.

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1
