Concentric Clutch Slave Failure

Ok what am I doing wrong......

I'm trying to get my clutch working, the spec is:

Duratec 2l
Raceline bellhousing with V6 concentric slave cylinder
ST 150 flywheel
Clutch is a Helix heavy duty version, pinto drive plate with ST cover

I've fitted 2 new slave cylinders and both have leaked straight away......advice welcomed

Cheers Ian

Sounds like your over extending them. Are they spaced so the bearing is close to the clutch?

Hi Ben

The first one that came out showed no sign of over extension, second one also had a clutch stop on the pedal to be extra safe, but will not rule this out

I've got clutch fluid leaking at both the front and back of the bellhousing....don't know if that is a useful clue.

Thanks Ian

I've been using a cheap V6 slave from ebay for over 3 year (4000 miles) without problems (touch wood).

No spacer requiered with the V6 (mondeo) version.

Apart from leaking, is it working fine? Mine leaked a bit at first but tightening the nipple fix it.

Cheers.
