Gsxr kill switch
Hi,
I a man new to the Bec world and need some advise.
The car currently has a kill switch but this only kills the starter feed. The rest of the it inc power commended stay live.
Is this a must or can I change it to kill everything?
For when it's in storage etc to save the battery.
Cheers in advance
Joe

Does it not depend on how the switch is wired in?

You could add a battery isolator (with the big red key - search on ebay for battery isolator). Easy to fit by breaking into the main positive battery
cable and does what it says on the tin.
If it ain't broken, fix it anyway (just because).

That was my plan. Just didn't know if anything on there would require a permanent live. Ie ecm or power commander

Unfortunately you can't have devices (even low current) drawing from your battery if it is in storage, e.g. over winter. These will kill your
battery. I would be very surprised if whatever engine management you have would require an unswitched supply.
I have bought a battery maintenance charger. This comes with a lead and socket that permanently connects to the battery so you just plug it in to your
battery, plug it into a 13A socket and it will look after and maintain your battery indefinitely.
