zetec engine???

Hi,

I'm looking to build another locost for road use, and fancy a zetec engine in it, what should i look out for when buying a zetec, what model is best to go for?? etc.

really want a 2.0 and will be fitting mega squirt.

what gearbox will i need( will probably be in an MK Indy)

I went for a "94 2ltr + MT75 gearbox, but some say 1800 is not a lot different. The gearbox choice is either a type 9 or latter MT75. If you are sticking with a standard gearbox ratios then there is little to choose. if you want a longer 1st gear which is nice rather than a "must have" then get the type9 and have new ratios fitted, cost is about £600 for a well done unit.

I have gone for a mark 1 - 2 litre zetec as it gives 135 BHP in standard form, but can be easily upgraded. If you want some reading matter on the subject there are some good articles you could read which are
