YZF 1000 Engine?
Hi, been away a while building an upstairs on my bungalow. Sold the Striker to help with the funds but now its time to go again and I'm
seriously thinking about a Mac#1 9R.
Looking around for suitable (cheap!) bike engines.
Question: YZF1000, aka Thunderace. Suitable? Was thinking of GSXR1100 power but they are getting quite old and the price of a Thunderace is about the
same and 145bhp. Bit more than the old gixer.

depending on the model the so-called old gixxer puts out between 130 - 155 bhp in standard trim

Cheers,
The bungaloo is indeed a house now but at £500 a square metre for 45 extra metres was a bit severe!
The thunderace is cheaper to buy whole and the potential returns off the cycle parts are better. Should be a straight swap for an R1 motor should
funds ever allow as well.
There again I am a fan of the gixer like all my marras but its all about VFM!
But the tuning potential of the 11 is huge. Oh, the choices in life....

Mike Cookson - he has a very nice MK Indy. Defo not being stripped. Paid good money for first engine, had problem then found spare at a cracking
price.
Got a Siera eh? Well done. Let the good times roll. Did you manage to call into Mac#1 last Thursday? What did you think? I hope the weather got better
for a run out. It was crap when i called in at 12.30.

Sierra Sapphire Azzure T&T for £46. Result.
Called in an hour after you had been there and was well impressed with the guys and the cars. Had a sit in the cars, blipped the throttle on the blade
one, nice. Plenty of room in them after my tiny Striker!
What day you going to Stoneliegh? Overnight?

Im pleased you were looked after. I guess it was too wet to go out. Its a nice set up isnt it? Earlier there was a nice Robin Westfiedhood with bike
engine - boy did he get some stick! I had to keep well out of it.
Do you fancy the 9R or the workz?
So far im planning to go down and back on Sunday. Overnight is a no go for me im afraid. Its going to be a long day me thinks!! Did Mac#1 say they
would be there? Not sure what time to set off - im waiting to see if there are any convoys from up North. I know there is a meet up at Woodall
services but dont know what time yet.

I never asked about the show - didn't realise it was so close. The weather was Ok when I was there but they didn't offer a ride, probably
because I said I was only thinking about it
However with securing the Sierra its all go now. But before I order the kit I need the settlement off the bike crash. That way I can break the bike,
sell the bits on and use all the compo to pay for the car!:
7am start Sunday?? Are you in the RAC or AA then??
