I am playing with diffs at the moment and have a copy of a haynes manual for a mk1 escort. In this it shows how to set up a diff using engineers blue to get the correct meshing. It would help to have a dial indicator to use to get the initial endfloat correct. Then it is a case of adjusting the screw cups at each side of the crownwheel and if neccessary shiming the pinion .Ideally the pinion should be set up with a new compressable spacer to get the correct bearing preload but they seem to be unavailabel, see the previous thread on this subject about a week ago.
