Make a template out of MDF or similar and take it along to your friendly local engineering shop

I like your thoughts but my woodworking skills are just as bad.

id rather the company do the job start to finish. had some done in the past but the guy has stopped doing them
due to family life taking over,

in that case measure everything and draw it up (3D CAD for preference, but anything will do for starters)

should be easy to get hold of drawings for the new calipers, disc's are easy to measure and then you gust need to measure the mounting points on your uprights / hubs relative to were the disc will be

That's what we do! (www.freakyparts.co.uk)
Drop me a message. We make bespoke brackets from billet for any caliper/hub setup.

Easiest way is we have a caliper, disc (if you have one) and hub and we'll do the designing for you.
