Front Splitter - Show me yours!

Hi all,

I'm looking to make myself a front splitter for my MK Indy as I like the look of them, and wondered who had done something similar?

I'll probably mock it up with 5mm MDF, and then make the final item in carbon, fixed to bottom rails of the chassis with a couple of supports as well.

Thanks!

Hmm will a splitter on a 7 actually do anything useful?

Not particularly - apparently they can negate some of the lift caused by the nose cone. I like the look of them though.

Depends on how nuts you wanna go.

A splitter and full undertray made a hell-of-a-difference to the Life-Taker when I had it. I have since fitted a copy of this to a customers car and driver said the difference was instantly noticeable, especially in terms of drag reduction and stability.

Agreed, makes a massive difference, especially on cars where the nose cone is sloping underneath.

Can't find pics of mine at the mo but will look tomorrow if I remember.

Although not as 'pretty' in some eyes (but is a '7' style car really ever pretty?) but a vertical, large number plate mounted as low as you can go also helps reduce the front end lift and is a cheap 'upgrade'
