Great tune, but I reckon my 3 year old can play a keyboard better than the fool in the video. That was almost embarrassing to listen to.

Hate to rub it in guys, but im 30 in a few months and hardly any of these mean anything to me... except for the obvious ones (matt monro etc), dont get me wrong, i know most of them, but they are all WAY before my time!

Even i dont feel that young anymore, not when I have a 19year old office junior that keeps telling me songs I class as relatively recent are 'classic oldskool anthems'.

Its not a good sign!

Mine are varied although I have to say I connect with Mango's original post.

Ritchie Blacmores rainbow.

And now with the lovely Candice in Blackmores night

Also liked Queen, E.L.O ABBA (and not afraid to admit it) Fleetwood Mac, The eagles,Dire straits etc etc.

I Think my mother has it on video

At one point halfway thru the debacle i get my head caved in by a camerman,

and if any one can find the video, i am wearing a yellow t shirt

This is quite bizzare.......

I'm working over in Germany for a few months and sometimes things get a little boring. Last night was one of those nights....So I watched some Family Guy DVDs.

This led me to this

http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ip1zsUIosoA

and for most of today I have been scouring Youtube searching for old music.

Then I see this post from Mango.....
Its a small world.......

You hit the nail on the head. My young lass just turned 18 last night and this is what we were discussing. However my lass likes the music I play and as she plays electric guitar she loves Deep purple motorhead and dire straits ect.

It annoys me when things get sampled as they totally wreck very good music.
I think the good music will come again particulary if times are hard, this filters the crap that gets into the music factory system.
Did any one see the gadget show on five this morning? I used to be a stage equipment engineer setting up gigs from the stage to the lights for groups touring South Africa. Most of the artists cant sing how ever with a good effects rack you can do miracals

Agreed. That's why the tribute bands are soooo much better usually. Strange that they are more talented but less famous????

Not really. It's better to fail at originality than to succeed in imitation
