well , on 19th june , the volvo world descended on thoresby hall , to show off genuine batteries and polished inner wings .

Some of you may spot the influence .

me too , but , its in the style of the europeans who have no problem with putting all sorts of shite on the roof at shows .

the judges didnt understand either .

I remember doing that to some Escort wheels with a stick welder.

The tyres were very definately not "tubeless"

we used to rum wheels like that on our stock cars many moons ago.

i made those wheels at work , balanced up nicely .

nothing more serious than inserting a 54mm band of steel into some original steel wheels .

nope , it does catch on the arches , so theyve come off again .

in fact they were only on for 3 miles .

incidentally the tyre fitters blew two tyres up getting them over the weld bead .

ill make some more differently .

It might be worth checking, but I used to make these in the 70s and at the time were quite popular. we had to stop as they were deemed illegal as all rims had to be one piece.

This appears to be a very popular misconception for some reason, they are not illegal.

You won't find a law that specifically states they are legal, just as you won't find a law that states pink cars are legal!
