As mentioned we're planning to convert our integral garage to give a fourth bedroom. Part of the conversion will involve replacing our 6' x
8' shed with an 8' x 12' shed. The primary use of the larger shed will be bicycle storage. I have in mind a vertical bike rack to
maximise the space.
What have other people used and can anyone recommend anything?
I'm on a budget so lower cost is better, but if a dearer solution gives a longer term answer then money will be moved from elsewhere to do it.
The shed will be timber and I'm happy to add braces onto which o secure the rack.
Theres a lot of hook type racks available but the simple ones work as well as any.

If you mean vertical as in stood up on its back wheel? Id just go for a few of these, just screw to the wall at whatever height for whatever bike.

This is what I used in my shed, nice and cheep but works well, just one on each front wheel
I spent some time getting the height so the back wheel is just touching the ground, more to make it easier to hang the bike than for any other
reason

How about these on sale right now in your local Aldi store?

Or you could just hang a length of metal tube across at about head height near the back of the shed and hang the bikes side by side by the saddles....
Thanks all - similar to what I'd found on eBay - low cost is the way forwards. One important factor is that the kids 10, 8 and 8 can get their
bikes on and off them safely (and don't leave the bikes outside for me to tidy up.
sdh2903 and Toys2 - your links look like the sort of thing I'm after. A decent piece of timber across the inside wall and they should do the
job.
It's fair to say that losing my garage is a big downer for me, but I can't afford to move so life goes on.
Strangely i'm in the same boat and have just bought this type. (4 of but are available in 1x and 2x)
4X STEEL BIKE BICYCLE STORAGE WALL MOUNTED MOUNT HOOK RACK HOLDER HANGER STAND N
^^^
Those would also do the job and unless I can persuade my two sons to reduce their bike count from two each to one each I'm going to need a total
of eight (family of five and too many bikes )

They do look ideal for my needs - kids might need "educating" when it comes to using them - one of life's many lessons I think.
