ref flashing - MCN (motorcycle paper) ran a story a few years back about "thumbs down" for speed cameras.
So if you ever see a biker with his thumb down, then he is warning other bikers of a speed trap.
Bikers DO look out for each other. Well unless they are riding a scooter or a BMW.

The law...
Being caught for flashing your lights is an offence - obstructing a constable in the execution of his duty...however and there is a big however....it
is critical that the prosecution show that those drivers warned were either exceeding the legal limit or were likely to do so at the location of the
speed detection - DPPv Glendinning 3005 and Bettsv Stevens. Without this evidence no prosecution can take place.
Real terms this means lots and lots of police stopping all cars and multiple speed detection - therefore it would never be practical to evidence
this.
On the petrol thingy, a tanker driver explained to a friend that the increase in bio fuel additives to the petrols is actually have a detrimental
effect on petrol tanks - it is basicaslly rotting tanks!!!
