Fireblade service
I've just serviced my 1996 fireblade and it took a whole bottle of oil 4 litres worth to fill upto top of sight glass. Is this normal? It says
in the haynes manual for a filter and oil change 3.6 litres to fill. I just want to make sure its not going to do any damage to the my engine as this
is my first attempt at a service. Thanks

Centre line of the site glass is the normal fill level, a bit extra is advisable in a car installation though.

Mine is a blackbird, and it takes about 4.5L, so I would expect about 4L for it's little brother engine.

Mines a 918. Just had the clutch cover off...again
Filled mine with oil and it was about 4.0lt. cant be exact I just keep topping til it reads full on glass!
Worth checking after first drive though. Let it settle and top up if needed. Mine needed another 100mil or so
