Track and Race Cars Magazine suspended
Just noticed this from the website:
"It is with immense regret that I have to announce that the publishing of Track & Race Cars Magazine (TRC) has been suspended from the
November 2009 edition. Over the last six months we have, as a publication, struggled our way through with a limited budget but unfortunately the
magazine has succumbed to a delayed backlash of the global recession..."

Very sad - but, distribution was very poor; very difficult to get hold of.
My greatest problem with the magazine was the quality of writing/editing.
Every issue I bought I felt like going through it with a red pen, ringing all the spelling and grammar mistakes.

A shame. They championed the 7 cause quite a few times.
As Tim said sometimes difficult to find, unless you go into town.
I didn't notice the speeling misstakes, but I am special

I had a subscription as the only place I could find it locally was at WH Smith in Manchester Airport. I had a few problems with missing the odd copy
which was more down to the distributors than the mag itself. As a result, I have been in touch with Keith Wood (editor) quite a lot (who,
incidentally, owns a Tiger) and he is a thoroughly nice, helpful bloke and it is a shame to see the mag go under (spelling mistakes and all -
personally, I just thought that this just added to the charm of obviously being written by fellow petrolheads). Keith should now have started a
"proper" job working for Stand 21 down at Brands.

totally agree. but even top gear magazine is littered with errors since the new editor arrived.
It's not good when there are mistakes, and half the writers of T&RC couldn't write to save their lives. If they can't be
bothered, then I can't be bothered to buy the mag.

Must just be me then that prefers to read a piece about something interesting that has a few typos and the occasional grammatical error rather than a
well written piece about something not particularly interesting that has appeared in three previous issues already that year (as per the kit car
press).

Interesting that PPC mag has, as an independent, seemingly weathered the storm.........
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion

I picked it up this weekend and had a brief flick through.....and put it back! First time for that.
Religiously buy it, but had reservations for the last couple of months...seems to have much of the same stuff without anything substantial.
I wonder if it's because a lot of the features seem to 'skim' over the nitty gritty and don't seem to teach me much - I reckon
we have all probably gotten through more complicated tech stuff during our builds which dumbs down the PPC content?
To be honest, I think buying it was a force of habit that led from 'Cars and Car Conversions'? - and I think that is how they have
weathered the storm....how many of you lot do too?
PS. Fesy, I still remember the first time I cast eyes on your engine bay and felt quite sick....still can't work out how that engine ran with no
electrickery visible.....
