i can see it needs some tiding up but whats peoples thoughts on it?

Its an early kit with outboard suspension. If you want an MNR specifically, I'd buy the newest one possible - the chassis has changed a lot over the years!

As above - it is an early model with outboard suspension, and sierra uprights.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Nothing wrong with the early ones, but the later ones with inboard suspension and cortina geom are better.

My first one was an RT+ Chassis 28 which I bought in 2005, registered in 2006. That one looks older than my first one.

You can't go by the registration date, it may have taken 4 years to build

Thanks for the heads up. I'll give this 1 a miss and continue looking. May have too sell some hoarded. Rx7 goodies so I can raise my budget a little.

Yea, mine is a 2011 plate but chassis no 40 inboard RT plus. Nothing wrong with old ones- Mines superb and much better handling and suspension geometry than most kits out there.

Mine and my mates are.....

Chassis 40 - Manufactured March 06 -RT PLUS Cortina INBOARD Registered 2011- ZETEC
Chassis 48 - Manufactured April 06 - RT Sierra OUTBOARD Not yet Registered- PINTO

Would be nice too do a sticky list in MNR section of these as referance for people. Any MOD care to setup?

so to revive this a little,

i went to Stoneleigh yesterday where i stumbled upon the MNR stand and Steve.
had a nice long chat with him about this and that and had a sit in his car etc, failed at getting myself out the car but with a little practice i reckon i'll have it down to under 10 minutes easily

So i've decided to take a look at the above car as its a good price, tidy it up, enjoy it for the summer and if i like the kitcar world as much as i think i'm going to i'll build myself a car over the winter,

So what should i be looking at/for when i go to see/buy it on friday,

the info i've got from the seller is that its

chassis number 11 (took him a while to build it)
covered 600 miles tops as he lost his job 18 months ago and it only gets little blasts round the village
bike had covered 2500 miles
he says the carbs have had alot of work by someone who used to do the carbs for triumph race bikes?
he says there where 2 options for the cage when he ordered and this one is the lighter material?

so anything else i should be finding out? or looking for?

Good to meet you yesterday. Give Chris at MNR a call, I did talk to him, and he will have some history on the car.
