What bushes are you using? If you copy the Haynes Roadster book, you won't go far wrong. I don't have the sizes to hand but I bought mine
as stock tube.

A good start would be the Chris Gibbs Haynes Roadster book

I have just looked at my invoices from my local steel stock holders & the size is listed as 33.7 od X 2.5 mm CHS tube C/F
As far as I know, is a standard size tube, we commonly used this on the ships.
I am building to the Haynes spec.
If you get really stuck ( I know some stockholders do not hold this size ) I have a fair few of these already machined to 35mm in length.
