Injectors are in the head and notorious for problems , most diesel engineers can't do anything with them . There is a place in your neck of the
woods that can fix them but I can't remember the name but they are a diesel specialist . The fix is most likely the same value as the car .

Some injectors can be an absolute pain to remove on modern diesel engines - they are usually recessed deep through the cam cover and when the injector
seal starts to fail this narrow but tall gap gets clogged with something akin to very sticky coal like deposits which prevents your best efforts to
drift and lift it out. I had to scrap an otherwise good Mercedes 3.2 diesel engine for this reason last year after 3 days of trying to get the thing
out and eventually wrecking the cam cover. This doesn't mean it can't be done though...
The trick I was told later is to weld a length of thick studding on the top of the injector then remove the bonnet and either use a hydraulic press or
get the longest and heaviest slide hammer you can hire or make to shift it. a 16lb sledge hammer head on a solid length of steel tube is best. There
are people who will tell you it's possible to put a bolt in where the fuel pipe normally attaches but that would give you an offset angle on
most injectors and you need a dead vertical lifting force for this job.

These are like pd injectors In vw,s so no issues getting them out its getting them fixed at a reasonable cost that's the issue with the trooper
.

We used to run a few of these where I served my time. One dropped the the tip off the injector and scrapped the engine another the injector started
leaking we couldn't get it repaired and Isuzu would only sell injectors as a set not single, would have been very expensive had we not been able
to rob an injector from the first scrap engine.

If it really is scrap value though, and you can get a 2nd hand head with injectors or a whole engine for a few £00 then it might be worth a punt?

get the reg and phone an Isuzu dealer. most of these engines had a recall which covered replacing/repairing injectors - they might still do the work
if it hasn't been done already....(maybe?!)
