is there anyone who has modified a fwd to rwd (runnig gear) or isn't it possible

Do you mean within the same car or take a FWD donor engine/gearbox and put it in a RWD car?

gear linkage probably the hardest part. turning engine round, blanking off one driveshaft the easy bit I would think.

i was just woundering as mx5's are rarely coming up around my budget
out of curiosity i thought as fwd are the preferred nowadays there are thousands for less that 1/3 of a price for mx5 and closer to home. any
suggestions im looking for a engine that will stand up to a ford fiesta 2013 in a 0-30 and 60 mph runs just for a laugh 100bhp+ 4 cylinder( fairly
efficient at normal rev range and when you slam it it goes like hell of the mark) so top end turbo will be awesome
one last detail small and light as possible and easy to take out.

Mx5's can be hand for under a grand... If that's above your budget then IMO so is driving.
Edit - just seen this is about being used as a donor. Most fwd cars will suit a midi layout locost. Clio 172 would make an excellent donor and could
probably pick up a rough bodies one for under £500. Though still a similar mx5 could be bought and would be simpler.

I think you're looking at the wrong time of year for a decent priced MX5. Despite it being extremely wet out there, MX5's will be
attracting a premium at the moment, much the same as motorbikes do. Come the end of summer and there will be a fair few coming up for MOT's
where the owners just want to get rid of them, instead of stumping up the cost of getting it through another year. I have an Ebay search running, and
I'm seeing one or two popping up a week at the moment compared to up to half a dozen a week when the weather was a bit colder.
Keep an eye on Ebay and go for the auction ones, they're a bit riskier but the prices are rock bottom. Also, don't just consider local
ones, or those with MOT and tax. I've seen car transport for between £100 and £200 depending on distance. Having them transported means that
they don't have to be roadworthy, and can come from further afield. That also means you could use a crashed car.
Alternatively, you could consider a bike engined car, although that has different challenges to overcome.

i find Gumtree is better but i use a combination of both and sometimes auto trader
