Can anyone identify this car?

Does anyone know what the make of this kit car might be or who built it as I bought it without any details at all. I've checked a few sites but not seen one similar. It has a Vauxhall red top engine but is missing an ECU. Does anyone have any suggestions?

The same question was asked over on the WSCC a couple of weeks ago. It's an SPD 7

Many name changes, if you search SPD or snake they make interesting reading.

After a little thought re this car, i am sure an issue came up regarding welding issues as well as design issues with front wishbones, also if you study the first picture are the front hubs handed left for right the wrong way.

Check it over very thoroughly, ideally with the help of someone experienced.

The issue Bob has highlighted is one to note but also the camber adjusters (if they're the Ali type they appear to be) have a history of failing and should be changed for steel ones.

Best of luck with it, James

Unknown car

Thanks to every one who has replied to my thread. After checking on the internet I think you are right in saying its a Snake. I will also take note of other comments re the camber adjusters. As I am very new to this (coming from a motorcycle background) any tips and suggestions would be most welcome. What a great bunch you are! TAZ

Interesting beat, looks like a 7 from the front and a Cobra from the back.
