Sky TV and discovery
For sky TV customers who watch discovery. They are about to plug the plug at the end of the month due to sky being too obsessed with paying ludicrous
amounts to overpaid footballers to care. Having just spoken to sky to voice my opinion they inform me that customers won't be getting a
reduction. Disgraceful.
Any sky customers make your voice heard and tell the robbing bstards!!

I have never had sky TV and never will to many adverts why pay a subscription to watch 20 minutes of adverts every hour and every so often they switch
all the good programmes over to another channel so you have to pay even more to receive the new channel

I have sky, mainly for boxsets and Atlantic and recording function. Just got a great deal on latest Q box with full sports and movies for less than i
was paying for normal box and medium channel package.
Sadly the only 2 channels I watch on discovery set is turbo and eurosport, and i watch so rarely i wont miss them. Its a shame they wont stick them on
free to air for those who do watch them. Sadly they simply arent desirable enough to be on pay networks only.

I am with virgin media, hoping the new boss of F1, who also owns VM, will put it on his own platform sometime soon.

I gave up on Sky a few years ago - I didn't see the point in paying for 150-odd channels I didn't watch, so now I use Freeview/Freesat for
free and get 50-odd channels I don't watch...

Indeed. You add Kodi to it (or any pc) and install exodus to that and you can do just that.

I believe its Discovery who are demanding too much and Sky ain't gonna pay. Discovery content has got a bit pants in recent years.
Discovery is still on Virgin but they are even more expensive than Sky for comparable packages
Would go freeview but they just don't have hardly any of the channels I watch
Never under estimate the ingenuity of an idiot!

and for those wondering, using kodi to bypass payed subscription isn't definitely legal and there are a few court cases going through right now.

A guy in the Stoke area got done for 4 years yesterday for selling commerically (was on the radio news), and it is now illegal to sell devices with
the software programme uploaded on them.
Usual followup mention of of ISPs having to write to users by passing subscription services to say that's illegal to watch too (which it isnt,
yet).
SKY announced yesterday they are going to offer a "dish free" subscription service in the near future to compete with the fibre based
mainstream offerings.
