Mazda 1.8 VVT - Immobiliser & ECU

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone had any data or tips on how to defeat the immobiliser etc on the Mazda (Mk 2.5) 1.8 engine? I am working with someone to develop a bespoke loom, but we are having real problems with the immobiliser and how it is integrated within the overall loom and how it interacts with the ECU.

If anyone has successfully done this before and has some data or advice it really would be most appreciated. We have gone too far to be beaten by it now.....

We have now fully committed to the bespoke loom option, so re-using the old original loom is no longer an option.

Thanks.

It simply isn’t possible with the standard ECU; fuel pump and starter can be bypassed from the separate immobiliser unit but the ignition control is done within the ECU and if it doesn’t receive the matching signal from the immobiliser unit it won’t turn the sparks and injectors on.
