max weight for blade engine?

posted this on the main forum but was told you lot tend to hang around in here.

in a nutshell whats the max weight of a car you would put a blade engine in?

Id guesstimate my RH is around 500kgs without the pinto.

Our old one had an 893 and weighed in excess of 500kgs. Even two up it pulled like a good 'un... but personally I would not recommend going much heavier as the clutch and g'box suffer under so much load.

500kgs without the pinto installed = around 570kgs with a blade (and associated gubbins) installed making it over 150kgs heavier than a decent lightweight BEC.

It will be OK but still around 50kgs heavier that what Id say is a good upper limit to target when installing a bike engine, IMHO, 2 up thats going to weigh over 700kgs.
