mondeo v6

hi all, just a quick question will the mondeo duratec v6 fit onto the type9 and will the engine fit into the engine bay of the 7? does any1 know of anyone thats done this aswell?

Gearbox wise, no, the bellhousing pattern is completely different.

As for fitting into the bay, anything will fit if you have enough imagination!

i have heard that they bolt to a tr7 gearbox? Am sure i read a thread to that effect on here? Doubt the gearbox would last too long though.

They deffo don't mount to the type 9 directly or any ford inline gearbox that uses the orginal bolt pattern.

You would need a custom plate or bellhousing, its the prob i am facing with attaching an audi gearbox to my duratec V6.

Jaguar s stye box will do it. Not cheap though.
Mine was running a V6 type 9 with adaptor plate before being changed to T5.
