the plug into the back of my clocks is broken, any idea where to get a replacement? i went to yamaha but they said its 78 quid, with tonnes to be
stripped off...
also, the clocks read in km/h, is this okay for sva? if not where can you get converters?

They will need to read in MPH.
if your going to use a speedohealer to get them to read at the right speed i think it can also convert kph to mph
have a look here http://www.speedohealer.com/eng/adjust.htm

I bought a bike guage with no rear plug. I remedied this by buying a second loom on ebay for £20.

With kawasaki the plugs are common to zx10r and zx6r
i would imagine r6 plugs are the same, ask the question someone will know.

I got a speedo loom from Malc at Yorkshire engines.
If you press and hold the set button it'll switch from MPH/KPH.

I think you can change beetwen km/h and miles in the same clock.
Check the servicemanual for the bike. I have a 2003 model and I am pretty sure of that.
