MASTER CYLINDER DIAMETER
hi
does anyone know the formula for working out what master cylinder sizes to use for brake and clutch systems in relation to the size of the calipers
wheel cylinders and slave cylinders
i cant seem to find the info anywhere but what i want to achieve is a twin cylinder non servo set up which is very sensitive due to loss of power in
my legs and basically the same with the clutch and i wondered if there was a magic sum i could work from
i realise i need to take into account the leverage from the peddles to so im thinking this could get complicated but hey building a car was never
going to be easy lol

If you are using a balance bar setup just use 0.675" cylinders on both circuits. If when you find the balance bar is screwed too far too one
side when you try the brakes (very unlikely) then change the side which is over braked to a 0.7" cylinder.
The simply rule is
Smaller master cylinder = more hydraulic pressure = less pedal effort.

Or perhaps the more readily available 0.625" cylinders would work too....
