Ricks-9r - 16/4/08 at 06:08 PM

ive just fitted a Plumbed in fire extinguisher in my Mac#1 ,could of got a 2.5kg hand held but this was a Lifeline Zero 2000 Alloy Fire Extinguisher 4Lt & a right bargain so need to know where to put the 2 red T- handle cable pulls to be ok for track days ,any pics & help apriciated ...;-)

Seeing as you're fitting one you may as well follow the MSA guidelines - which would be as Chris says. Make sure you lubricate the cable well and keep checking it. Those where the pull handle is mounted vertically have a tendency to collect water at the bottom of any bends and seize up pretty quickly! Don't ask me how I know!

I also have a cut-off switch for the electrics......
The car was built for race too.....and fitted before the fire systems were mandatory.....

As lsdweb has said, you must maintain it regularly.....

And, as Fozzie has done, place them in an area where they won't get broken off and they still can be accessed when you've rolled it!
