I use Namrick in Hove, mainly because I can drop in there but they have pretty much anything you need.

Put your location in your profile!!

pretty much every industrial estate will have a nut and bolt supplier. I used one in Tewks and by the time I had built various cars and a hovercraft the guys in there knew me by name :p

If you need odd sizes I recommend Arun Fastners in Arundel.

Screwfix are as good as any for most generic bits, but check around for local fastenings place for the odds 'n' sods of old times....

Toolstation have a small selection, but prices are good. I tend to but nuts/washers there, and even the odd box of setscrews for emergency use.

I got mine from Jack Pennington Ltd, http://www.jpldirect.co.uk/catalog/Fasteners_N05050.html. They didn't have some sizes in stock but I was able to get a large portion of the high tensile nuts and bolts for just under £50.

For normal fixings (decorative rather than functional) Ebay came up the cheapest. But I didn't want to use Ebay for the high tensile stuff, I've seen a few horror stories about unmarked bolts being passed off as 8.8 or 10.5.

Will have to look them up, I am in Worthing and this would be easier to get to than Namrick. Thanks.
