I know most bikers tip their head to each other when they pass.
I have sat at the lights and when bikers hear the cars got a bike engine in it they almost want to show there acceptance/approval
I am all for road manners and wondered if others do the same?

Remember for BMW drivers the universal accepted gesture of greeting is to make a circle with thumb and index finger and rotate wrist.
I normally give bikers and other people driving sports cars the time of day with a quick thumbs up.

I used to get a bit carried away with nods, when I was on the road on my bike. Especially when there was a group coming the other way, I always found
a thumbs up with both hands for the whole length of the group did the trick.
I wave to other kit car drivers. They usually wave back. I've had bikers nod to me, but only a few.
The best thing to do with bikers is find one on a 600 along a twisty road and chase him. They tend to get annoyed that they can't lose the car
on their tail.
I nod to bikers too! Occasionally also get a nod from drivers of other cars, Porsche, TVR that sort of thing.
The nearest bike shop to me is a Harley Dealer, and they all sort of look over and glare as I drive past. I guess that might be a friendly thing, or
it might not be. It's hard to tell behind their shades and beards!

A nod, a small wave or at least raising the hand from the edge of the wheel for anything interesting: kits, sports cars, classics... I've even
had Cateringvan drivers wave first!... must be that 7 on my grill

Whilst being out in the souped up coffin shifter, I've had quite a few other drivers give me the "nescafe beans" gesture. I guess they love the fact that my 12 year old estate is much faster than their new hot hatch.
I once had a bloke come running out of his house waving his arms after I'd gone past for the 4th time in my Striker.
I was that moved by his friendly gesture I gave him a warm two fingers with a hearty " f*ck off!"

Yep still got the 5 Series. (its a tourer not an estate)
And yes i dont use the indicators either
I once had a very attractive ex GF in the car (I think it was a Peugeot GTI) and a guy in a Ferrari F360 pulls up next to me at the lights. He looks
at me, I nod, he looks at the then girlfriend, looks at me and nods back.
Very funny at the time.

Bet she's riding in the Ferrari now.
Building outside at the front of my house has got me nods of approval from bikes, buggies and even Saxo man.
Most of the school kids know me, ooh err, as do a lot of the single mums.
But it has only been so since it started to look like a real car up until then i just got funny looks and whispering
I have had the odd nod from bikers but not many. The best place for waves and the like is the motorway! I was driving back the the piston head meet
with a mate in the car and every car that went past me (I was only doing 60-65) with a woman in the passenger seat took a very long look and one was
even still staring at us through the back window! I just wish they had been staring at me, as I had a crash hat on, so more likely the damn car
getting all the attention again!

And then you get groups within groups. I used to get nodded at by most bikes when I had the R6 but when I changed it for a Husky supermoto I became invisible - prob because they're faster on the twisty roads!
