Paddle Shift, It only Bloody works!
charlierevell - 28/8/08 at 11:01 PM

Well I've spent a day and a half in the garage, and have a nicely polished, completely custom paddleshift!
Even did me a bit of welding which i havent done since leaving uni 2 years ago!
Il get some photos up tomo.
Just seems to need a little fiddle to get it right on the trickshifter side of things, at least it now doesnt work unless you pull hard enough rather than making a fluffed change like it used to!
Could possibly benefit thru changing on bell crank around but other than that im a happy man!

Tomorrows jobs are move the ignition and find out what stopped the speedo working!

Fantastic job mate! Really nice work! I got mine out for a trial fit yesterday. Looks like I will need to make new (bolt on) paddles as they are way too wide and foul the roll cage. Also need to come up with a modification to fit the sensor for the Flatshifter. I think I can just make out your sensor on the vertical shift rod. Any chance of a pic so I can take a closer look at how you fitted it?

I really want to get the paddle and mount water jet cut to get it looking spot on, but those will do at the moment as it works!
(Thinking carbon mmmm!)

The flat shifter rod just mounts to the rocker and then threads onto an extension. Ill get a good photos of it for you later.... I find it odd that one end is M4 and the other M6 but it all works!
