Lets create a 3D model library
Gakes - 7/4/08 at 10:08 PM

Hi guys.

Why not create a 3D and 2D library for models and technical info to share.

I have a few models to upload.

Triton - 7/4/08 at 10:14 PM

Ask Fozzie she may be able to help with that as way over my head..

I will email you some pics when I get a chance.
Cheers,
Mark

Every book is going to contain some errors, but Chris Gibbs has a seperate forum where he has corrected and updated a lot of the info for the Haynes Roadster.

I wrote to Chris (that attractive buxom lass) and asked him to do that a few weeks ago, didn't get a response though. Does he read everything?

not that I've noticed I requested a few things in the past and got nothing but silence

andyd - 8/4/08 at 08:36 AM

Not sure but isn't Fozzie (and someone else) able to stick things and admin stuff?

I'd say it would be better to have another forum section where new posts could be made specifically for individual part models.

Like for example I could post a "bush tube" thread and attached my 36mm long, 25mm o.d, 21mm i.d tube model used for suspension bushes.

We could all agree to post in a "simple" format like IGES or STEP to guarantee portability.

People could also request help for others to model something for them.

The search could then be used to find different part models.

You hoo I'm selling stuff. Stuff for sale.

Small piece of wood for sale, painted one side. Would consider swapping for a carpet tile. Hardly used.

Item withdrawn.

Hi Chris could you make this thread a sticky please:

Yes, I think between us we read everything..

Please bear in mind that we both get an awful lot of mail from you lot......and this site is only done in our spare time.....

Also, as far as 'stickies' are concerned, it would be very easy to get swamped by numerous topics that people want 'stickied'...

I have stickied, for now, the Google CAD library, in the Bodywork section, and will keep an eye on the amount of views it gets.....

If you don't get a reply in the first instance, to your u2u's you have sent to ChrisW, u2u/mail me......

I'll withdraw my piece of wood.

Someone infected our 7 p0rn with the real stuff, birds and bees stuff. Any the fun is over and now the stiffest thing there is made form metal.

For now obvious reasons I've restricted access to only the most trustworthy. That's me then. If you've got some drawings that you'd be willing to share then please contact me directly (either through this site or the email address on http://groups.google.com/group/puk7?hl=en) and I'll post it.

Cheers,
James

I have restored the link in the sticky in the 'Bodywork and Exterior' forum...
