Braided hose brakes
spoonana - 9/6/13 at 03:14 PM

Following several problems I've had recently with copper brake pipes.

I am now looking at having braided hoses instead (possibly coloured) Doe's anyone know who would fabricate a set to my specification?

Thanks

Use Kunnifer for brake pipes -- copper should not be used for brake pipes.

Russ bosst is the king of the flexi hoses!

Are you planning on changing all the hard lines to flexi? If so i would not recommend it. Even stainless braided hoses can swell a little and over a longish run it may well affect the feel at the pedal, stick wirh cu/ni for the hard lines, what exactly is the issue your having?
If its just flexi you want to change then as already said Russbot is your man, our just order the bits from the likes of rally design and make your own

I was thinking of using Kunnifer, but a good friend of mine who builds rally cars advised me to use stainless steel braided teflon hoses throughout.
I've got a few bits done and very impressed how easy they are to make up myself.
I've bought all the pipe and fittings from Exact Engineering, next day delivery and very helpful with the order. There telephone number is 01803 866464. I've spent just under £250.00 on all the pipe and fittings I need to do the whole car inc pluming up four master cylinders (2 x brake, 1 x clutch, 1 x flyoff handbrake).

I’m pretty sure if there where pedal issues with this pipe throughout he would have told me. Fingers crossed as I haven’t finished or tried them out as yet.
