Got to share this just to make me feel better..... I have a rolling road session tomorrow afternoon so thought that I would grease the prop UJs
because I have never done them... Cheap grease gun from halfords I thought would do the trick... On it went but it wouldn't come off... Nipple
snapped so I had to epoxy the hole so that the grease would not throw out tomorrow... Prop now has to come out so that I can drill out the nipple....
A five minute job turned into a nightmare.... I just hope tomorrow goes better....
Diff out to get the prop out also....

Which rolling road are you using Dave?
Sean
A place in Alton...but the guy mapping it is from West Sussex... He knows DTA ECU...

Exactly what happened to me, you have to loosen the end of the grease gun. Otherwise it does exactly what happened.
Can't get a nipple for mine, they don't seem to have any at the manufactures.
You may be able to remove the broken nipple with an easyout. Very carefully.
One thing we were shown to use in my apprenticeship which is 'safer' than an easyout is a file 'tang' soft
and square that can bight quite well in a round hole.
Drilling may leave swarf in the wrong place which will damage the UJ when next greased.
Just my half penneth....
I agree the I don't really want to drill it out...at the moment I have epoxied it so the grease does throw out... I may try to glue a bolt in
there and see if I can get it out...

Managed to shift one once by tapping in a small flat bladed screwdriver and un-screwing it.
(Dosed it in Plusgas first)
Dyno tuner by any chance?
Yes but it is another tuner using their rolling road....

I removed a broken one recently by tapping a (very) small torq bit in. It came out easy and hardest part was getting the piece off the tool after.
