RMD Alloy Wheels Bulk Buy
Ben_Copeland - 11/2/11 at 07:54 PM

I'm doing another Bulk Buy, this time on alloys...

They are the RMD Rally Design ones which look very similar to Team Dynamics Pro 1.2's but they are lighter. Made to the same spec as TD's.

They come in at 6.5kgs each without tyres.

7 x 15 Ford Fitment ET38 available in Black or Silver.

Rally Design do them for £285.60 for 4 plus postage.

I can get them for £255.00 for 4 plus postage.

Whats everyones opinion?

Can do them with Toyo R1R's 195/50/15 for an additional £290 R1R's are very similar to R888 just easier to get now.

snakebelly - 11/2/11 at 09:15 PM

beaver34 - 11/2/11 at 09:24 PM

Ben_Copeland - 11/2/11 at 09:25 PM

Not in that style, they do minilite style....

6x13 - £240 ET16
7x13 - £270 ET0
8x13 - £304 ET-6

daniel mason - 11/2/11 at 09:56 PM

How many 7's run the minilte offsets? Cos et-6 one an 8" rear wheel are way different to the et 23 caterham r500 wheels on my Mnr!

ET16 is standard Mk2 Escort offset.

daniel mason - 11/2/11 at 10:41 PM

so will an 8" wide rear wheel with et -6 offset clear a sierra caliper?

Aren't TD Pro 1.2's ~5Kg's depending on fitment so this makes the RD wheels 30% heavier if indeed they are 6.5Kg (first time I've seen a weight quoted for these wheels). Or have I been caught out by the ambiguity of "they are lighter". Which one's are lighter?

Ben_Copeland - 12/2/11 at 12:14 AM

15inch TD's are apparently 7kg

13inch TD's may well be 5kg

hobbsy - 12/2/11 at 12:17 AM

I thought 15x7 TD 1.2's were similar to OZ Super / Ultraleggera at give or take 5kg. I could well be wrong. Not sure what the 13inch versions weigh though!

Ben_Copeland - 12/2/11 at 12:27 AM

Several websites i checked state 5.8kg up to 7kg

loggyboy - 12/2/11 at 01:06 AM

15x7.0 e12-45mm 4 & 5 stud 98mm 114.3mm 6.2kgs
16x7.0 e15-45mm 4 & 5 stud 98mm 120mm 7.4kgs
17x7.0 e15-50mm 4 & 5 stud 98mm 120mm 7.9kgs
17x7.5 e15-53mm 4 & 5 stud 98mm 120mm 8.2kgs

snakebelly - 12/2/11 at 07:54 PM

those prices for the 13's were they just relevant to the minilite type or?

Ben_Copeland - 12/2/11 at 08:08 PM

13" for minilites
15" for RMD's
