Not sure where to put this, so if it needs moved please do so.

I have a piece of 19mm solid rod which has been machined to a triangular shape for about the last 5 inches. I need the triangular piece extended up the rod by another inch or so (giving a total of approx 6 inches). The guy who originally done it messed me about so much over the time it took that I don't want to go back to him as I would actually like to do some driving in the car this year.

So, anybody in Leeds or thereabouts that can machine this for me for beer tokens.

is it for the steering column?
Depending on the length of the shaft I could probably do it for you.

Couldn't you just file it?

Yeah, the end of a steering column. Not sure of the total length can check tomorrow sometime and let you know.

It's solid stainless so don't fancy trying to file that much off it and still leave it tidy.

No problem, just send me a u2u once you've got the info, hopefully it's not a tough grade of stainless and can easily be machined cos I've got some that's almost impossible without a tct cutter.
