Here are a few picks of my work today with 2 part expanding foam.

Keep the pics coming - I wouldnt know where to start with moulding a hardtop from scratch.
Neither do i but fed up with getting wet and not being able to drive the car if there are clouds about. If it all goes tits up it will go in the bin and back to getting wet.
Hope the tape keeps your paintwork safe! I'm very interested to see how this develops, will you be keeping a detailed build diary?
You look like you are using masking tape to keep the body safe, I would use brown packing tape as resin does not stick to it very well.
I'd recomend using foam sheet rather than expanding foam - you'll really have your work cut out trying to keep it symetrical with such a
hard to control material.
It shouldn't be too hard to build a hardtop, the problem is making it look good as the proportions are a real bugger, as demonstrated by almost
every other 7 hard top over the years.
Good effort for trying though, and I'll watch with interest
