Hello everyone,
My friend James and I are currently about 12 months into a home brew, FWD Yamaha R1 mini build (www.r1manx.com and www.flickr.com/r1manx). We are
soon to be looking into the fuel system on the car. It will be running an external pump and I was wondering if anyone on here can tell me of a good
pump to use in order to serve the minimum pressure requirement of 42+psi on the R1 engine? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Ben

Welcome looks a sweet build
This is the pump you want its off an astra GTE Im using it on a 02/03 R1
Bosch 0580464070
Why can't you use an R1 fuel pump or any bike fuel pump over 600cc really would do it? Thought bikes ran at low pressure but high flow rate.
42+psi seems mighty high to me.
Cheers
Rich

I could use an R1 pump but it's internally mounted inside the fuel tank and I just prefer to run an external pump. I know 40.4psi seems high, that's what the yamaha specs say.
Cheers
