VR Sensor on a Pinto
phoenix70 - 17/12/08 at 10:11 PM

Hi Guys,

I'm looking for some ideas of how and where to mount the VR sensor, on my Pinto. Has anyone got picture of there installs.

Also the trigger wheel I've got is drilled to accept the standard bolt, and I know I'll need to fix it in position on the pulley, but the wheel is resting on the raised area in the center of the pulley, so I'm guessing I'll need to make up some spacers to take up the space, when I add some securing bolts.

Hope that make sense

Cheers.

Scott

mine is mounted exactly the same as the photo's above.

in fact i think i contacted rich to see how he mounted his and then just copied his idea, or he posted on my thread about VR mountings , one of the two.

mine's at about the 10 o'clock position, mounted on the end of the alternator bracket made by father-in-law.... - we've got inboard suspension so it couldn't go anywhere else. Nice and solid though...

Take a look at my blog, there's a link to my picasa album with all my build pictures in it (link in my sig)....

Cheers
