Perhaps this is a really stupid question, but I was wondering why the fuel injectors are placed on the throttle bodies instead of leaving them at the original position, closer to the engine ? (f.e. 2.0 Duratec)
Better air/fuel mixing probably, but newer injectors have much better spay patterns (new bosch ones have smaller holes instead of one)
I am using the standard head location on my install and blanking off the ones in the throttle bodies mainly because I think it will end up looking
neater if nothing else.

Injector location, as with most other engine design is a compromise. Injectors close to the valve tend to give better emissions performance. Injectors further away tend to give better power; really high performance engines have the injectors mounted at the ends of the intake trumpets.
Fit injectors in both positions. You can then switch between them depending on the map position, or reserve the outer set for when you fit the super/turbo charger....
