Planning my upgrade to fuel injection and trying to understand how MS interfaces with the EDIS.
The diagrams I've found on the web show a crank sensor attached directly to the MS, but talk about taking PIP & SAW from the edis, so is the
direct attached crank sensor replaced by the edis signal?? I have mjlj and edis up and running so it looks like it could be straightforward
replacement..
A diagram is much better than words so if anyone has one??
Cheers.
Pete.

Urrrrr.... I'd like a tuned RV8 and box, oh and some maryland cookies..... and maybe a solero ice cream, cos its really warm.
Damn it It was the Solero wasn't it? I knew I should of just stuck to the engine, gearbox and cookies
There are a few diagrams on the internet that explain the connections.
Edis is connected to the crankshaft vr sensor. A 36 - 1 wheel ( 36 teeth minus one giving 35 teeth 10 degrees apart.)
The edis will give a pip signal to the megasquirt to tell it : A) the engine speed, (one pulse given after a spart event) B) that a saw signal can be
sent after a pip event.
The megasquirt will send a timed saw signal the length of the signal is proportional to th ignition advance.
