Has anyone got a drawing of the fuel flow layout for EFI? Tank - Pump - Fuel rail - Regulator - Return etc.
Also what pumps / regs are you using, or would be suitable with GSXR750 bodies on a Zetec.
Cheers.
Pete.
tank
lower pressure filter
high presure pump
high pressure filter
fuel rail
fuel pressure regulator (ideally an adjustable one)
return pipe to take
or
tank
low pressure filter
low pressure pump
swirl pot
high pressure pump
(and then the same as above)

Typing fuel injection into google images gets this:
Go for a high pressure pump from a car that produces about the same BHP as you're aiming to get from your installation.
You can get really fancy and work out your fuel flow requirements in cc/min but that's the easiest way to do it....
For regulators you can either use one of the dinky little ones which fit on the end of the fuel rail (but you might need to get the rail machined to
accept it) or quite a few people here seem to use the adjustable ones with dials from Ebay. About 25 quid IIRC (guess how I know )....
The low pressure pump / filter is sometimes missed out.....
Thanks Chaps, just about to machine the fuel rail link for the re-spaced bodies, and neede to confirm inlet only or inlet and outlet. Then gather the bits for next winters upgrade....
How far apart can the low pressure pump be from the swirl pot? Can the LP pump be at the fuel tank and the SP be in the engine bay? Or should you try to keep them altogether?
There's some detailed notes and photos on my website (link below somewhere). Just go to the Westfield throttle body section.
Good luck, FBB.
So you've done an ally to ally joint on the TB's, how is that holding up?? Its something I'd considered, even thought of welding them
into a flange....

I built mine over the winter of '07 - '08. Since then I've covered over 6000 miles with no problems whatsoever. I finally got round
to putting the car on a rolling road last week to have it fine tuned, which did actually make a lot of difference, I was surprised how much. Bear in
mind it's a standard 2 litre Zetec as far as head and cams are concerned, but very carefully built; it ran 174 hp at 6350 rpm and 152 torques at
4850.
Pretty over the moon with that!
Sounds good, If I can get 150bhp from the 1.8 I'll be happy, and it'll be as quick as any B V8...
Still in two minds about the swirl pot, guess it and all the pumps could be boot mounted, its not big enough to be any use.
