Nearly got the mx5 conversion complete, i tried starting tonight but no joy. The only thing i haven't got/connected is an EGR boost valve and a Purge solenoid valve. Question is do i need them or not.

EGR valve, no. Purge solenoid, dont know.

Its not the egr valve its the egr boost valve

Ford eec-iv and eec-v will both run with out.

Shows an error code but doesnt affect performance.
