Where do I find a good description on removing the dizzy on a 2.0 pinto? I'm migrating to a wasted spark solution with a trigger wheel but part of the dizzy is still required to drive the oil pump.

You can at a push, just take out the rotor arm and cut off the plug lead posts then file away the distributor cap to give clearance for a straight manifold filing the hole with some sikaflex and plastic, then a spray of paint makes it look OK, ish.
I did this as an easy way of getting over the problem on a spare engine.
The modified distributor i have on the other engine has been cut at the point where the main body of the distributor meets the shaft, then an ally plate welded to cover the hole.
Some have put a bearing in at this time to support the drive shaft.

Bottom of page...Its one I did for Mitch2b on here after I had done one for myself

I used a proper sealed bearing in the top on the original one I did for my own Pinto rather than the brass one as shown
I guess its held up OK as theres no real "force" on it and the sealed bearing idea was proper overkill
