Hi, I run megasquirt MS1 V3 on my standard 2.0 injected pinto but experience sometimes starting problems. Can someone please send me an msq file of a
'tuned' configuration?

you have u2u
This works for me. Single plenum Pinto, dizzy ignition with bosch amplifier.
Would help if you said what spec you are running?
Spark and fuel?
Throttle bodies?
You want to set the cranking and idle advance to around 8-10 deg.
Essentially the only thing that affects starting is the cranking pulse width. This determines how much fuel is added during cranking. If you need to
open the throttle slightly to get it to start then its too rich.
Once the engine fires and the rpm is above your cranking rpm (generally 300rpm) the fuelling is controlled by the after start enrichment (ASE) which
is just a percentage of fuel added on top of the VE table.
If your mixture is correct at idle when the engine is warm then the only thing you should adjust is the ASE. Use the warmup wizard to do this. Aim for
slightly richer than your warm idle, say 13.5AFR, all the while whilst it warms up.

The cold cranking fuelling levels usually need to be miles higher than you would expect. 8 times the idle pulse width isn't uncommon. (i.e. if your idle pulse width is 2.5ms, it's not uncommon for the cold start cranking pulse width to be 20ms.)
