?Tuner Studio Questions

Just had a 40min Blat in the car between snow showers/sunshine and it Looks like I may ( fingers crossed) have finally got to grips with some of the programme. So to the questions.
In live VE analize is the ms unit updated with the information live. Or do you have to have the "update controller" box ticked?
If it does it live then do you still need to Burn before you quit?

Given that my car seems not to happy at anything over 14.9 AFR and seems to sound/feel most happy/driveable at an AFR of 13.5 should I look at changing my afr target tables to differrent settings ?

The only problem I can see is that if I leave the autotune on when at idle then it leans it off too much and ball falls off of the rpm scale of my VE table. (this is a 14.7 afr target area but as I say 13.5 is much better/smoother idle)

You have to have the box ticked to have the VE table updated live yes. And to save it before powering off you need to click burn.

If you leave the box unticked you can review the changes before burning them, a bit like using megalog viewer.

If you know that your engine idles best at a certain AFR then yes you should change the target table at those load bins to the AFR you know works. 13.5 AFR for idle sounds pretty much spot on anyway.

You can set min TPS and/or min RPM if you don't want it to adjust the idle.

I wasn't helped by the fact that it is either in "update" or "idle" mode. Idle mode being nothing to do with the engine (if you know what I mean).

There is a new version of TS out where a couple of bugs have been fixed (0.990.4 was dodgy), so it might be worth allowing TS to update if you are not on the latest.

The autotune UI definitely changed a little.

ah OK Matt yes I see what you mean. I could change the min TPS to the next ve bi to save the idle ( engine idle) settings
