I'm not having a good day. Thought I'd try my EDIS without the MS connected to see if I could get it to do something in limp home mode. No
joy. Plug my MS back in and it no longer wants to play. Using TunerStudio mini console it comes up with
Boot>
If I press 'X' to exit the bootloader, I get
X - Reset Vector Invalid
Bugger.
reflash the MS (i.e. reinstall the code).
It can get confused sometimes.
I use Easytherm to do this (just use the Download to MS) but depending on the version there will be other ways.
I bet it sorts itself out.

Thanks for the optimism. I'm feeling quite low about my progress and abilities at the moment so a different perspective is helpful. Not helpful is the miserable song on 6Music right now.
I have had more moments like that than joyful building ones. Get someone in to help you. It will do wonders for your frame of mind.
At his point, you can't help thinking about how much of a waste of money and time it all is, but you have to put that out of your mind and move
forward - because it isn't true!
My own lack of skills is the biggest drawback for me. I often pick up parts and think 'huh?'. I am just trying to view the whole project
as learning experience! I have learn't sooooooooooo much so far.
If I get really pissed off I take a couple of days off. Seems to help lots.
Reminds me of a geeky joke

Had a small email conversation with Phil @ ExtraEFI, and he told me how to reflash it. It needed a full fat reflash, but it's talking to
TunerStudio again now
Nice one.
I am with you on the Linux thing.
Only build a kit car if your enjoy the process.
Only go megasquirt if you enjoy the process.
If you just need to get from A to B, then a 2nd hand Fiesta is better in every way. But wheres the fun in that.
