I think my problem with my MS not seeing the PIP signal was down to the fact I had disconnected the +12v to the MS as the fusebox!
This raises the question though, how was my MS powered so that it could appear to be working to TunerStudio??
Yep been there done that but with the indicatickers
A minor glitch, doesnt beat welding the runners on the wrong side of the manifold......

That's exactly the sort of thing I get up to Pete!
It could be worse. At least you didn't set the car on
fire!
If you haven't had a numpty-moment then I doubt you've been around kit cars for very long!
And i didn't measure my prop angle with the stands on the chassis instead of the axle
And I ALWAYS measure twice and cut once, and still get it wrong
taking the megajost apart 3 times to find out why i didnt get a rpm signal from my megajolt during starting
(it never does is the answer lol)
I changed a gearbox once an Alfasud once to fix an undiagnosed drivetrain knock.
Turned out the front wheel studs were loose!
Not my best day
Stu
Cheffy and I took a X-flow head off to cure an oil leak, turned out to be the earth for the Megajolt breaking, it was allowing two cylinders to push
oil out of the intake, very wierd.

So does this mean you have got it going Scudderfish??
No, because I discovered the missing 12v after I had posted it back to ExtraEFI for a checkup. Phil did send me an email saying it was working perfectly so I should be good to go as soon as I get it back
LOL thats just the way it goes isn't it?? I was 3 months trying to find why mines would start but not rev till I found a dry soldered joint ( by
chance ).
bet you're getting excited about it coming through the post.
couple of times ive been all straped in the indy with a passenger usualy, turn it on, right good to go, oh, steering wheels still inside.
Similar to my periodic numptiness... climb into the car, strap myself in... then realise that the keys are in my hip pocket!
Doh!
Thanks for the update, easily done.
Went for a nice drive today. 40miles away fuel was a bit low so went to fill-up.
Wrong keys, so no way of removing petrol cap. Amazing how good a BEC is for economy! 55mph and keeping off the brakes waiting for the "stutter
of doom".
In my case everyday is a new cock-up.
