Which idle valve
Lars - 20/5/10 at 12:07 PM

I am looking for an idle valve for my zetec on gsxr750 tbs
I think it needs it during warm up.
Which idle valve has an in/output that takes between5 and 8mm hose.

You could use the standard ford one and make a little adatpter with a couple of stubs ?

cheap and easy to get hold of.

i do have the ford ones, but was hoping for a neater solution,
The ford ones just have a flat face with a couple of holes.

We use the Citroen/Peugeot 8V TU engine idle speed control valve.
This would be from a Saxo 1600 VTR, Pug 106 1400XSI, 1600 Rallye. It has a facility to attach it to a hose so can be mounted anywhere you like.

Lars, i never needed one, i just played with the warm up enrichments.
It takes a few goes and normally soots out the plugs as your trying, but worked a treat.

I still don't think you will get enough air down the little tubes on those TB's. I know it will be some, but I don't think it will be enough to make a big difference.

On the other hand you guys with car engined get much more of a vacuum at idle than I can manage.

I could get an idle anywhere between 900-1600 depending on setting. sometimes even higher with an air leak
